Club Operations

Jennifer Bianca Weerasinghe, Club General Manager

Jennifer joined the NYTC team as a tennis instructor in 2018. Jennifer pursued her Tennis Canada teaching certification and then began her career at the NYTC. During her time at the NYTC, Jennifer has held several different roles, including Tennis Instructor, Coordinator of Junior Programs, Team Lead, and Manager of Junior Programs. Jennifer has overseen all operations of the club, including facilities, staff, event, and program management. Through her time at the NYTC, she has enjoyed getting to know the membership and being a part of a tennis club with a rich culture of community. Jennifer looks forward to continuing to contribute meaningfully to the ongoing success of the NYTC this year, which is her ninth season with the club.

Outside of tennis, Jennifer is a PhD Candidate at York University, while also pursuing her Human Resources designation, as well as working full-time in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. She completed both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees at York University.

Private Instruction Team

Edward Branga, Tennis Professional
 
Edward has been a certified tennis instructor since 2019. As an active member of the tennis community, he joined the NYTC team in 2022 and has been involved with several other organizations such as the OTA, ACE Tennis, and Philpott Tennis. Before coaching, Edward competed competitively and was a part of the Tennis Canada team.At the NYTC, Edward is involved in private instruction. Outside of tennis, he is currently an Anti-Money Laundering Analyst at BMO, applying his analytical skills to financial compliance and risk management. He is also pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Tyler Panhuyzen, Tennis Professional
 
Tyler is a certified Coach 2 and Club Pro 2 with Tennis Canada, bringing over a decade of experience. He is blessed to work with many exceptional young athletes, several of whom are ranked among the province's top players in their age category and consistently qualify for four-star events. Though most of his time is spent with high-performance juniors, Tyler is proud to help tennis players of all ages and levels improve at the game they love and enrich their tennis experience. As a player, Tyler competed in closed provincials, nationals, and junior ITF tournaments. He is also the 2013 LOSSA junior boys'singles champion and a 2015 national selection semi-finalist. In addition to his new role as part of the 2025 NYTC coaching team, Tyler is also the Founder and Director of Tennis at his own academy, The Greater Toronto Racquet Academy.
Tyler's greatest ambition as a coach is to help as many tennis enthusiasts as possible discover even more joy in the game. This season, NYTC members can find Tyler on the courts and connect with him through various social media platforms under his new coaching brand, Panhuyzen Tennis, which is launching this summer. Here, Tyler will share tennis tips and content that he believes all tennis players will find impactful. Whether on the courts or online, Tyler is eager to connect with NYTC members and bring even more value to the already fantastic tennis community here.


Joseph Teti, Tennis Professional
Joseph has worked at the NYTC for several seasons, mainly through teaching private adult and junior lessons and teaching the After-School Program. Joseph pursued his Tennis Canada certification in 2018 and then began teaching tennis at several community tennis clubs in Toronto. 
 
Joseph attended the Glendon College of York University, obtaining his Honours Bachelor of Arts, Bilingual, in International Business and Communications. Joseph also works at the City of Toronto.
